£39,000 - £44,000 FTE (Dependent upon Experience) + Benefits LOCATION:

Flexible Working. You can be office based or Hybrid, working 1 to 2 days per week from the office in Winnersh, Wokingham and the remainder from home. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Winnersh, Wokingham. JOB TYPE:

6 Months, Full-Time, Contract (Potential to move to permanent) JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a dynamic, talented, aspirational Accountant with sign-off capability to work within the expanding small / SME business accounting team. Working as an Accountant you will join a company that strives to deliver a great service for clients whilst working in a friendly atmosphere. The team takes pride in delivering quality work in a professional and supportive working environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, encompassing a wide range of industries and complexities. This will involve tasks such as client onboarding, relationship management, and providing tailored financial advice. DUTIES Preparation of year-end financial statements for limited companies, charities and partnerships Liaising with clients on accounting queries and other matters as appropriate Preparation of corporation tax computations and CT600 forms Preparation of monthly management accounts Preparation of VAT returns Reviewing work of junior members of the accounts team and support in their development Assist with client queries regarding aspects of their bookkeeping and other matters as required Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients as appropriate Regularly communicating with and updating the team on deliverables CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Proven, relevant experience within an accountancy practice Qualified, Part-Qualified and Qualified by Experience (QBE) Considered Sign-off capability Ability to work in a team as well as an individual Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (within and outside the company) Great work ethic with consistent first-class time management and organisational skills Ability to prioritise own time to ensure that deadlines are monitored and consistently met Excellent attention to detail Work confidently with various computer and accounting software (to include Excel, Word, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage) BENEFITS Flexible working – can be office based or hybrid 27 days paid holiday Pension 6% matched contributions HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
