Accountant
to join their friendly family-run business as an expansionary role due to the significant growth the business is experiencing, specialising in advising owner managed businesses. Due to location, driving is essential for this role. Salary:
£32,000 - £35,000 pro-rata Hours:
22-28 hours per week (option to work across 3-5 days) Location:

22 days holiday, on-site parking, company pension Working closely with the Director along with other accounts staff, it is highly important to be experienced and capable across widely used cloud accounting software. You’ll be building client relationships and offering first-class accounting advice, so a keen eye for detail and stellar communication skills are a must! Excellent time management skills are required as you will be responsible for planning and preparing Quarterly VAT returns for a wide number of clients. A positive attitude towards and good awareness of the upcoming MTD (Making Tax Digital) changes is required. What will your responsibilities include?
Preparing annual accounts, from both complete and incomplete records. Oversight, completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns. Oversight, completion and submission of monthly CIS returns. Management of client queries in relation to VAT, CIS, Accounts work and helping to resolve any issues that might arise closely with the internal team and HMRC. Maintenance of records and management information. Oversight of bookkeeping tasks of other colleagues. Attendance at relevant training seminars, where required. Management of financial systems to include Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, and SAGE, primarily. Completion of general office duties. Experience
Minimum AAT qualified. Microsoft Office (Word/Excel). VAT - including a good understanding of VAT law. Accounting Practice 3+ years. Overseeing other staff’s work - experience is essential.
