In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting: Your strong understanding of finance fundamentals will allow you to accurately compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data, ensuring the integrity of reports such as the income statement and balance sheet. Support Month-End and Year-End Close: By efficiently preparing journal entries and completing complex reconciliations, you will play a crucial role in the timely completion of the month-end and year-end close processes. Enhance Compliance and Control: Your interest in SOX compliance will help ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements, enhancing internal controls and reducing risk across the finance function. Contribute to Data-Driven Decision Making: You will create insightful reports, charts, and exhibits, providing valuable financial insights that will support decision-making at the plant level. Add Flexibility and Adaptability: Your willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities, including ad-hoc tasks and special projects, will contribute to the team's overall agility and ability to handle dynamic needs. Provide Independent Expertise: With your experience and ability to work independently, you will contribute significantly to projects, offering both insight and support to achieve finance team objectives. Assist in Streamlining Operations: Your involvement in more complex accounting projects will help identify inefficiencies and areas for process improvement, adding value to the finance team's contributions. Bring Stability and Consistency: By focusing on doing a great job at the current level, you will bring consistency and reliability, becoming a trusted member of the team who can be counted on for high-quality work and insights. Responsibilities To be successful in this role you will need the following: Strong Financial Knowledge: Expertise in accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet management is essential for month-end processes and compliance. Detail-Oriented and Organized: Accuracy in tasks like Oracle reconciliation, control document management, and checklist oversight is crucial for ensuring compliance. Financial Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with systems like Oracle and ARM will help manage compliance, reporting, forecasting, and planning efficiently. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Flexibility to handle diverse tasks and reporting requests while supporting the management team's objectives is key to success. Qualifications Education/ Experience: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. A University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or AAT qualification would be preferred. Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
