Accounting Manager

£45,000 - £60,000 Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for an experienced and well-qualified Accounting Manager. Role Responsibilities
This role will take responsibility for a mixture of Ltd Companies and Sole trader accounts and related tax returns, a mixed portfolio, mainly serviced based with a slant towards “creatives”. An interest in related tax matters will be helpful. The role is primarily a review process, owning the input/throughput/output of various jobs to deliver within deadlines; the production/processing/drafting of accounts and tax returns will have been completed by the team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in the review and delivery of work, managing production, and responding to ad hoc queries in a timely manner. You will be responsible for the completeness of information, communicating with clients, and reviewing basic self-assessment tax returns as part of the sole trader accounts process. The role focuses on maintaining quality reviews and the related output, ensuring the firm's policies are followed to reduce risks. There is also a small element of liaising and reviewing payroll for clients, coordinating and reviewing quarterly VAT returns, and management accounts. Person Requirements
ACCA or ACA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a UK-based accountancy practice. Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles. Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong IT skills including experience with accounting software such as CCH, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
