We are currently recruiting for an Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join the Accounting Production team. The role is a great opportunity to be a part of Aviva Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (‘IWR’) Accounting production team and help transform our financial accounting and reporting process via the use of technology-enabled solutions to create a modern and future-proofed financial reporting ecosystem. This role will require the successful candidate to be confident in the use of the latest technology, willing to challenge the status quo and happy in taking accountability for improving processes. We are looking for someone who doesn’t rest, who constantly strives to make things better and who wants to join us on this journey where they can add their mark to the future accounting infrastructure of the largest FTSE 100 insurance company in the UK. Please note that this role is a

12-month Fixed-term Contract. A bit about the job: This role sits within the IWR Chief Accounting Officer team and will be managed and mentored by a Senior Finance Manager. It will include a wide variety of activities: Continuous focus on process optimisation, simplification, and standardisation. Leading investigations within reporting and acting as a key SME resource on strategic change projects. High-quality outputs with supporting analysis to identify underlying drivers and offer business insight. Quarterly reporting of the IFRS and SII results. Operation and enhancement of financial and operational controls with the ultimate aim of safeguarding both customer and shareholder interests. Relationship management with key stakeholders across Finance. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience in the financial services industry. Pro-active drive to identify and deliver improvements to processes through experience in using the latest technology and software solutions. Data analysis capability is key, with the candidate being comfortable managing and manipulating data sets, and interrogating financial reporting systems. Excellent analytical skills are critical, whilst knowledge of IFRS 17, and Solvency II would be beneficial. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other areas of the business. What you’ll get for this role: Salary:
