Permanent following a three month probation period. Hours:

08:30 - 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break. Part time hours can be offered for the right candidate. Must have own transport. Role Description

The Accounting Technician will be dealing with accounts, data and records for a wide variety of clients, from Limited Companies and Sole Traders to self-assessment individuals. The successful candidate will be supporting an existing client portfolio, with a key focus on delivering a high quality and thorough service. Core duties will mainly be assisting the Accounts Manager with accounts preparation, taxation and other general accountancy practice services, so attention to detail is essential. As the firm expands there will be a wide range of projects to get involved with; we have structured growth and development plans in place and so offers this exciting opportunity. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be: Supporting an existing client portfolio. Working with the team to provide a high quality, proactive service. Preparing accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders. Completing regular bookkeeping and preparing VAT Returns. Provision of Payroll & CIS Returns services for clients on a monthly basis. Running offsite errands such as collection and returning of client files. Monitoring own workflow, communicating with the Directors and sharing resources and knowledge where possible. Technical Requirements

The successful candidates must: Be qualified to Level 4 AAT or working towards. Have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Have excellent IT and numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail. Have a good knowledge of various cloud-based accountancy software. Be proficient in all Microsoft Office but particularly Excel. Personable Skills
