About Our Client
An opportunity to join a growing, small team based in Wellington with very hands-on Directors working with very mixed and wide-ranging industry sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Clients vary in industry sector and turnover range from very small sole traders through to ltd companies well into the £millions in turnover. They provide the whole range of 'general practice' services across year-end accounts, tax - both corporate and personal, VAT, management accounts/bookkeeping, and payroll service provision.
IRIS for accounts production and while they encourage the use of SAGE - both desktop and cloud, their clients also use the whole suite of online software across Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and others.
Job Description
You will join the team as an Accounts/Tax Semi Senior, or AAT Technician level key addition, moldable in level to fit and work around the right person's background and existing experience levels. You will take on increasing responsibility for the hands-on provision of accounts preparation, tax (personal and corporate), management accounts, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, etc., as you develop within this firm and role. You will have the opportunity to develop technically and progress, carving a long-term career move as a highly valued addition in this close-knit team of professionals with support on offer for those pursuing further qualifications.
The Successful Applicant
You may be AAT qualified, or be studying at Level 3 or 4, or have developed your career entirely through experience only to date, or be pursuing ACCA or other qualifications. You will have a background working in the accountancy practice sector for an accounting firm of any size, having developed your career to around the Accounts/Tax Semi Senior, or AAT Technician levels, with anything from at least two to three years of experience to date, or considerably more. You will bring a mix of year-end accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, etc., and be looking to find a new career move where you can become a key, long-term addition to a successful team and firm. Study support is on offer.
