We're looking for a detail-driven Accounts Assistant to join our team at a successful fashion manufacturing company in North West London. Main Responsibilities Will Include: Taking full charge of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. Preparing purchase reports, such as commissions and freight charges. Owning the balance sheet reconciliation process and ensuring accuracy. Completing quarterly VAT returns and staying up to date with VAT compliance updates. Creating weekly management reports, such as aged trial balances and sales reports. Overseeing customer payment allocation, sales invoices, and debt collection. Supporting the Management Accountant with ad hoc reports, analysis, and financial projects. Managing and mentoring a Junior Bookkeeper, providing guidance and support. Jumping in to assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed. Person Specifications: Excel wizardry : Advanced Excel skills are a must. Solid experience : At least 2-3 years of experience as an Accounts Assistant in the UK. Double-entry bookkeeping : A good understanding and hands-on experience. Impeccable attention to detail : Strong data entry skills and accuracy. Proactive attitude : A self-starter with a can-do mindset and a love for working as part of a team. Analytical skills : Ability to produce high-quality financial reports. Excellent communication : Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn and develop.
