About the Role

As the

Accounts Assistant Manager / Client Manager , you will take on a varied and engaging role with a blend of client management and technical accounting responsibilities. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from SMEs to owner-managed businesses across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities include: Client Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships, acting as their key point of contact for day-to-day queries and advice. Accounts Preparation:

Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Team Leadership:

Supporting and mentoring junior staff members, reviewing their work, and assisting in their professional development. Tax Compliance:

Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and other tax obligations. Business Advisory Services:

Providing tailored advice to clients on improving financial performance, cash flow management, and growth strategies. Compliance & Standards:

Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant. Requirements

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have: A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent (part-qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered). A solid background in accountancy practice, with experience managing a portfolio of clients. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and relevant software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike. Leadership qualities, with a desire to mentor and develop junior team members. A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Benefits
