As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you'll take ownership of client relationships, providing strategic insights and delivering financial expertise. You'll play a key role in developing junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment, while also contributing to recruitment efforts as the team continues to grow and thrive. Key Responsibilities: Oversee a varied client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact for queries and advisory services. Prepare and review financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts, offering valuable insights for business decisions. Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation. Lead and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development. Assist senior leadership with workflow planning and process improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For: ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience. Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, with strong technical accounting skills. Confident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel. Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and build strong professional relationships. Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
