The company

Our client is a leading provider of bespoke telecoms, mobile, and internet solutions tailored to businesses of all sizes. Based in Brentwood, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality solutions to clients across multiple industries. As an Accounts Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of the business. Your role will involve handling various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the financial health of the company.

Duties

Perform daily bank reconciliations on Xero to ensure accurate financial records. Upload bills, create purchase orders, and raise invoices efficiently. Handle supplier payments and manage customer direct debit collections and reconciliations. Process payroll and related tasks, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Complete the monthly billing run for calls and service charges. Implement annual price increases in line with supplier adjustments. Address escalated invoice queries from customers and suppliers. Handle agent commissions with precision. Prepare profit and loss reports and maintain the costings spreadsheet. Process VAT returns quarterly, manage corporation tax payments, and handle directors' personal tax payments. Manage energy contracts, building and fleet insurance annually. Oversee business rates and credit control. Manage the accounts inbox, ensuring timely responses and actions.

The ideal candidate

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks. Ability to manage supplier payments and customer direct debits. Competence in preparing financial reports and maintaining spreadsheets. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
