The Role: As the Accounts Manager, you will take responsibility for preparing and managing the accounts and tax work for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will: Prepare and manage sole trader and partnership accounts, as well as self-assessment tax returns using Iris software. Prepare and manage limited company accounts and corporation tax returns on Iris. Handle VAT returns across multiple platforms, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks. Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information for timely completion of accounts, tax, and VAT returns. Assist with practice management tasks such as WIP control and client billing. Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and deliver added value. Support the team in achieving individual and team budgets. Maintain the highest technical and professional standards in all your work. Offer additional help and guidance to clients where needed. Coach, train, and develop junior staff. What You’ll Bring: Experience in managing accounts and tax for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Proficiency with software packages such as Iris, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks. Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
