How You'll Make an Impact

Inspire and Lead Foster an environment that encourages creativity and innovation in how associates' approach and analyze their tasks. Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including managing performance evaluations, providing training and guidance, and assigning workflow responsibilities. Maintain and encourage high standards for the team. Exemplify Grow Every Day and philosophies of Dierbergs with self, team, and outcomes; continuously looks for ways to reinforce Grow Every Day in the culture and all work processes.

Build & Grow Partnerships Build and sustain strong partnerships with internal and external customers and vendors, consistently delivering exceptional customer service.

Executing to Drive Results Oversee full cycle AP processes to ensure timely and accurate invoice capture, payment of invoices, reconciliations of accounts, monthly closes and accruals and delivery of internal reporting. Manage and enhance work processes to ensure timely and accurate payments while following and maintaining internal controls and best practices. Ensure desired results by setting clear expectations, monitoring progress, and guiding the team toward achieving goals. Manage the implementation of new software and testing of software updates. Effectively resolve problems and issues concerning the department.

About You Minimum of 5-7 years' accounting experience required. Minimum of 1 year previous management/leadership experience required. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related discipline required. Proficient user of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel. Experienced user of Oracle PeopleSoft preferred. Knowledge of accounting best practices and internal controls. Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate and inspire teams to produce quality work within tight deadlines. Demonstrates strong collaboration and partnership; adeptly assessing and balancing team workload to align with individual talents. Possess a sense of urgency and solid decision-making skills; exhibits sound and accurate judgment. High level of attention to detail; must possess strong time management, organization, and follow-through skills. Possess a high level of integrity, enthusiasm, and positivity; able to maintain confidentiality. Able to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other associates and departments.
