Semi Senior Accountant Job
Location: Birmingham (south), West Midlands, Full Time
Salary: GBP24,000 - GBP32,000 depending on experience
A chartered, independent practice in the south of Birmingham is currently looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to work within the accounts team. As a practice, they provide accountancy, tax, payroll, and VAT services.
They have a range of clients, they are not sector specific, and look after sole traders, LLPs, and company accounts. They welcome any practice background if you have worked with a varied client portfolio.
The main duties of the job include:
Preparing and producing the accounts of a varied client portfolio
Bookkeeping and VAT management for clients
Queries, liaising with HMRC, and maintaining client relations over phone and email
Working mostly autonomously, but under the supervision of a Senior Accountant
Helping junior staff
The practice is looking for:
An AAT qualified Accountant, working at a semi senior level
Someone who is potentially partially through their chartered exams
Varied general practice experience - worked on a range of clients
Ideally someone who has worked on Bookkeeping and VAT
Good with speaking to clients on the phone
