Accounts Senior Job description: LHH is excited to partner with a respected firm in Exeter that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team. In this position, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements and providing valuable financial insights. You'll collaborate with a team of professionals, helping to establish best practices while taking advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities. Responsibilities: Collaborate with entrepreneurial clients to provide guidance for their growing businesses. Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for incorporated and unincorporated businesses, ensuring compliance. Handle self-assessment tax returns, clarifying clients' obligations. Advise on capital tax issues like inheritance and capital gains tax. Maintain accurate accounting records for financial reporting. Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure timely compliance. Liaise with HMRC to resolve client queries. Offer administrative and business setup services to support client growth. Supervise and mentor junior team members, including training students. Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent. Capable of working effectively under pressure. Proficient in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online (QBO). Experienced in preparing accounts for partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies. Able to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Extra benefits: Hybrid working. Pension.
