Competitive, plus benefits Full time, permanent Our client base is continually growing and this has resulted in us looking to expand our commercial and business services team. We are currently looking for an Accounts Senior in Practice. We are looking for a candidate who can commit to a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accounting practice,

Significant experience of preparation of statutory financial statements for small, limited companies with complex accounting issues

Significant experience of preparation of year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships

Ability to liaise with clients to arrange accounts preparation and resolve queries directly

Being able to present a completed high-quality file to manager/director for review

Ability to working either on site or in the office depending on the nature of the client

A good knowledge of the main accounting packages would be expected (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)

This is a dynamic and developing team so strong communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work cohesively with all members of staff

Diligent and proactive personality with a drive to provide the highest service levels to clients

Keen to take on additional responsibilities and ambition to progress to more senior roles in the firm

In addition, it would be helpful if the candidate had some experience in the following areas:

Preparation of charity accounts

Audit of small companies and charities

Verification of grant claims

Assisting clients with the input of opening balance adjustments
