Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Prison Cleared Pharmacy Technician to join a Prison pharmacy team in Kent. This is a locum position offering a minimum 6-month contract with a Monday to Friday schedule (9am-5pm). The successful candidate will have experience in the role and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care within a prison setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pharmacy support within the prison environment. Dispense medications and provide advice to patients as per prescribed treatments. Assist in managing pharmacy operations and ensuring proper medication storage and handling. Work alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures. Accuracy check prescriptions and medications to ensure they are dispensed correctly.
Essential Requirements:
Must be prison cleared. Qualified and registered as a Pharmacy Technician. Proven experience in an ACT role (desirable). Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamworking skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Additional Information:
This is a long-term contract with the opportunity to extend. £23-30 per hour, depending on experience. Immediate start date for January/February 2025.
