This is an exciting time to join us as an Acting Up Consultant (Forensic) Psychiatrist. This opportunity could be for a full-time post within either our women's blended secure service (WBS) or our male medium secure service. Either role would allow a successful candidate to contribute to the development of our new model of care and to shape the future of secure services for women and men from Greater Manchester. You will be supported by a full and expanding complement of multidisciplinary colleagues, with the current position being that you will work with a medical secretary, junior doctor(s), clinical psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist, and our nursing colleagues. To support our service user's physical health, there is additionally a visiting GP, dentist, and well-established physical health team. Alongside inpatient management, additional clinical activities include on-call work, access assessments to the service, and a range of additional activities dependent on negotiation with consultant colleagues and our new model of care.
