The Guildhall School of Music and Drama is a world-leading specialist Performing Arts Conservatoire, investing in the artists of today and tomorrow. Guildhall School is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors, and production artists in the heart of the City of London. Ranked as one of the top conservatoires in the Guardian music and drama league tables, the School is a global leader of creative and professional practice, which promotes innovation, experiment, and research, with over 1,000 students in higher education, drawn from nearly 60 countries around the world. We are seeking an inspirational individual to take up the post of

Acting Tutor: Screen and Digital , who will lead on this enhanced strand of work on the BA acting programme and contribute to its development across the Drama Department. Our training is highly regarded in the industry for the passion, quality, and rigour of the teaching: renowned for the combined focus on craft training, care and attention to individual student development, and the strong ensemble ethic shared by staff and students. We place inclusive, pioneering, and progressive practice at the core of our training. We are seeking someone with current working industry experience and networks to lead on and develop this area of practice. As screen work (across TV, film, and digital) will form the bulk of an actor’s portfolio, we are ambitious to develop our teaching and learning in acting for camera, self-taping, live streaming, and screen project work to ensure our students are developing the craft and experience they need to flourish. In addition, as online platforms, gaming, VR, and hybrid practice continue to play a fundamental role in the innovation and delivery of the arts, it is crucial our students have an experience of working at the forefront of these technologies. For more information, please download the job information pack. The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 17 February 2025. All applications must include a completed application form. Please note that late applications will not be accepted. The Guildhall School welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
