What does it involve:
At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6,000 young learners (aged 8–17) from around the world each summer. Our mission is to help students improve their English through engaging classroom lessons and a lively program of activities and excursions. As an enthusiastic and energetic Activities Manager, you’ll lead and support your team of Activity Leaders, ensuring our programs are not only enjoyable but also safe and well-organised. You’ll be the driving force behind a diverse lineup of activities—from sports, drama, and arts, to quizzes, discos, and fashion shows—bringing creativity and energy to every event. With all the materials and resources you need, you’ll have everything at your disposal to make each activity and excursion engaging and memorable for our students. You will build great working relationships with your team to ensure our students have a safe, entertaining and memorable stay. You’ll play an active role in the pastoral care of students, including night-duties on a rota basis as well as supporting and training your team of Activity Leaders, Senior Activity Leaders, and Teachers, giving briefings and designating tasks. Locations:
Bournemouth, Cambridge, Central London, Uxbridge, Northampton, and Oakham (famous for the Michael Owen Red Stars football school). This is a residential contract. Contract:
Contract of 5-8 weeks between 17th June to 10th August 2025 (25th August in Central London). Exact dates vary depending on your school, and they can be a little flexible. You must be available to attend our training weekend in June 2025. Hours:
60 hours per week, over 6 days – this is a fully immersive management role. This is a residential position and we provide you with full-board accommodation. Minimum Requirements:
You will have some previous experience of running activity/leisure programmes or events. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working/management in a summer camp or school. You’ll be a great communicator and a supportive leader, able to effectively manage your team, ensuring the happiness, safety and well-being of staff and students alike. You must be available to attend our training weekend in June 2025. You must have the right to work in the UK. We take safeguarding very seriously. If successful we will conduct full pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, in line with our safer recruitment policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024.
