Activities Therapist (part-time)

to join our friendly, caring, and progressive Care Home. This is a vital role within the Home, where the successful candidate will work as a team to create a stimulating and developing activity program to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the nursing home. About the role

Key Responsibilities: Working as part of a team to deliver excellent quality, person-centred activities, and social activities for residents. Plan special events and group activities, on occasion creating personalised plans for residents. Experience and a passion for Arts and Drama related activities. Facilitate opportunities for residents to spend time together. Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation. Must have a good command of written and spoken English. Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved or working towards). Experience working with elderly residents suffering from dementia. Knowledge of care of the elderly patients' Charter of Rights. Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation. Excellent communication skills, specifically with the elderly. Right to work in the UK. Desired Criteria

Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards). Experience of working with elderly residents suffering from dementia. Knowledge of Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.
