Assist in development of Pricing models, rate change reporting and portfolio management reviews across Specialty Property and Specialty Casualty classes. Assist the business planning process. Assist in various analytics to support business. Take ownership and develop processes, ensuring all reconciliations and governance are in place. Develop positive working relationship with key stakeholders including Underwriters, Executive Management, Reserving, Capital, Claims teams as well as third parties. Provide support and gain experience across all actuarial disciplines, as required. Develop commercial understanding of the insurance market, with focus on Lloyd’s business. Qualifications
University degree in Mathematics, Statistics or an analytical discipline Desire to pursue an actuarial qualification Strong technical skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and people management skills Self-starter, curious, proactive and with the ability to develop, recommend and implement new approaches Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, able to establish credibility with senior underwriters Undertake all work in a professional and effective manner. A “can do” solution driven working style. Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL. Knowledge of Excel and Power BI. General understanding of other Microsoft software.
