BAND 4 MEDICAL SECRETARY - 37.5 hrs (Fixed Term / Secondment Opportunity)

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual who would be interested in joining the Acute Medicine Secretarial Team, primarily based at Royal Stoke, with ad hoc working at County Hospital.

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivator who puts our patients first, interacts well within a team, and who wants to develop professionally and supervise their own team.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive secretarial, waiting list management, and administrative support to medical and nursing staff within a specialty team. Assist medical and nursing colleagues in the organisation of the specialty team workload, communicating appointment and admission related information to patients/carers. Ensure compliance with the Patient Access Policy and Divisional requirements in terms of inpatient and outpatient waiting list management. Supervise the administration team.
