The successful candidate will work as part of a small dedicated team of CNS and alongside their anaesthetic colleagues, covering both adult and paediatric inpatients. The post holder will be required to provide specialist advice in all aspects of acute pain management across all acute hospital sites within the Health Board. Crucial aspects of the post are to ensure safety and efficiency of complex pain management techniques, act as a credible resource for information on all aspects of acute pain, as well as provision of teaching. Previous relevant experience of caring for patients with acute pain needs is essential, along with experience of managing patients with PCA's and Epidurals. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to work at an enhanced level, and the ability to practice autonomously. The successful candidate will have a good level of experience and practice within ideally the surgical directorate, as our patients are predominantly post-operative patients. About us
