Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role: ADAS Simulation Lead Engineer - £30/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire - 3 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Position Description : The Modelling & Simulation Lead engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering state of the art modelling and simulation methods and tools to validate and verify ADAS system designs. Examples of methods and tools include but are not limited to: Co-simulation of ADAS systems models with vehicle dynamics and sensor models Virtual reality-based user testing Vehicle based rapid prototyping of models Creation of modelling & simulation standards Replay of logged data through models Software to enforce modelling & simulation standards Automatic artefact (Requirements, test cases and reports) creation from model database Modelling & Simulation Lead Engineer demonstrates exceptional understanding of Model in the loop (MIL) and Software in the loop (SIL) testing methodologies, ADAS simulation environments and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Create resilient and robust systems models Responsible for the creation of processes and tools to validate designs through continuous integration, simulation and rapid prototyping Execute test cases at scale through SIL & MIL testing Responsible for the creation of process and tools to validate the test case design against specified model behaviour and to apply the test cases to production software Skills Required : - Matlab/Simulink - Simulation - Python Experience Required : - Significant Systems Engineering V-Model specifically model based testing and design verification and validation - Extensive software experience, including but not limited to: MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++ - Experience operating in a DEVOPS model - CI/CD pipeline experience - Significant Automotive SPICE Process knowledge and experience - Good knowledge of state-of-the-art test methods and techniques - Good experience with test automation - Experience with using MIL, SIL - open and closed loop testing - Automotive network knowledge - UML/SYSML modelling experience - Educated to degree level in relevant subject, with good communication skills Experience Preferred : - Games engine development experience e.g., Unreal engine - Assisted and/or Automated Driving System Testing experience - ISO26262 standard knowledge - Experience with using HIL & VIL - open and closed loop testing - Experience using Vector/NI/DSpace tools - Virtual reality development experience - Simulink based rapid prototyping (Dspace, NI, Speedgoat etc.) experience - User trial experience testing (Human in the loop) - Experience working in a scaled agile organisation Additional Information : This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
