We are looking for a new member of the Registration and Citizenship Service. The Registration and Citizenship Service is responsible for the registration of all Births, Marriages, Civil Partnerships, and Deaths occurring within Hertfordshire. About the role

Admin Support Officer – Registration Certificate Archives Location:

The Old Courthouse, Hatfield. Hours:

22 Hours – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. The Registration Certificate Archive issues Birth, Death, Marriage, and Civil Partnership copy certificates from records dating from 1837 to present from events that took place within the County of Hertfordshire. Work is generated by customers wishing to purchase a copy of these certificates. You would work as part of the Registration Certificate Archive team producing certificates from the Hertfordshire registers. The team also creates digital records of marriages from Marriage Schedules. As you will be dealing with physical as well as digital registers and securely monitored certificate stock, the role is fully office-based. Admin Support Officer – Hertfordshire Register Office Hatfield Reception Hours:

37 Hours The support officer role ensures the smooth running of the Register Office, based in the reception area, assisting the Senior Officer with emails, booking ceremonies, managing bookings, and supporting registrars. Register Offices are busy places of work; the candidate will be required to undertake phone calls, respond to emails, and book ceremonies and appointments via the digital booking system. The successful candidate will be trained to take payments both over the telephone and in person. Mainly reception-based, the candidate will welcome ceremony guests and customers registering births and deaths with warmth and tact. Working with the public directly, the candidate will enjoy a varied day working within a dedicated team. Hours:

14.5 Hours – Thursdays and Fridays. Proven experience in an administrative or support role Excellent organisational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Accuracy and attention to detail This job role is within the Business Support Services, level BUS6 job profile.
