Job title:

Administrative Officer, Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership

Company:

Birmingham Children’s Trust

Job description:

Protecting children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation requires strong, joined-up leadership and effective multi-agency working. The Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership has statutory responsibility for overseeing the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in Birmingham. We are looking for the right person to join the partnership’s Business Support Team as a part-time Administration Officer. The post holder will be part of a team that provides administrative and secretarial support for the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership, its Executive Group, and Sub-Group structures.

You must have previous administrative experience including coordinating meetings and events; preparing agendas and taking minutes; prioritising workload and meeting deadlines. You will need to be able to take responsibility for ensuring all actions are completed quickly, seeking assurance and chasing partners when necessary. You must have excellent verbal, written, and IT communication skills. You will be dealing with confidential information and must be able to maintain accurate records. A touch typing/Word Processing qualification or equivalent is desirable.

This is a hybrid working role, meaning some of your time will be spent working in the office and some working from home. The Business Support Team is hosted by the Birmingham Children’s Trust, whose offices are in Aston, just outside the city centre traffic congestion zone.

If this role sounds like the one for you, and you’re committed to improving the lives of children in Birmingham, we’d love to hear from you. Interviews will be held at One Avenue Road, Aston, Birmingham, B6 4DU. Interview dates to be confirmed. Please note previous candidates need not apply. For informal enquiries please call April Walker on 0121 464 2612.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We actively deliver services that are culturally responsive to the needs of the children, parents, and carers we work with to deliver equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all we do.
