Working days will be Tuesday PM, Wednesday and Thursday full days, providing 18.5 hrs of support per week. You will act as a first point of contact for students, in person, by email and over the telephone, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a calm and responsible manner. You will be required to provide excellent administration support to the curriculum area of Construction at our Freemen’s Park Campus. You will be a strong communicator with excellent people skills, able to work both in a team and independently while working closely with Area managers and delivery teams. You will be able to prioritise your own workload to deal with urgent tasks while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and diligence. Key duties will include: Supporting/maintaining student records and registers Procurement of goods and services for the area Regular liaison with wider internal teams Arranging and supporting team meetings Communicating with parents and third parties on a needs basis Providing teaching staff with day-to-day administrative support You will need to have: Relevant and recent administration experience ideally within an FE or educational setting Minimum Level 2 in IT and/or equivalent Microsoft Word/Excel experience Hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in maths and English (e.g., GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above) Knowledge of Leicester college IT systems and processes would be an advantage A flexible approach will be required to help cover Open Days and student Welcome Events etc. outside of standard office hours.
