Adsorption Specialist Are you at the start of your career and looking to apply your adsorption characterisation skills in a commercial setting, getting to see the real-world impact of your work? Promethean Particles is a global pioneer in the development and scale manufacturing of high-specification advanced materials. Our mission is to help decarbonise the world by unleashing the potential of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). We’re looking for an Adsorption Specialist with strong laboratory skills and experience of analysing solid sorbents (preferably MOFs) for gas separation applications. Using a wide variety of characterisation methods, you will be the critical link between the team synthesising these novel materials and the engineers focusing on application development with our customers. You will be designing lab-based experiments, conducting material performance testing, and delivering data analysis, so need to have strong proficiency in these areas. We’re a fast-moving startup with many stakeholders, so you need to be good at communicating with different audiences and able to quickly change focus as priorities shift. Candidate Requirements

PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with a focus on adsorption processes or gas separation. Experience in gas separation or adsorption processes. Experience in designing experiments. Hands-on experience in adsorption characterisation (e.g., BET, TGA, breakthrough analysis). Proficiency in lab-based experimental design, material performance testing, data regression, and analysis. Good understanding of the impact of material properties on gas separation processes and system design. Able to engage and communicate scientific findings orally and in writing with different audiences. Proficiency in modelling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Aspen). Experience in leading technical and scientific projects independently. Knowledge and/or experience of MOFs. General Requirements
