Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you assist, promoting their independence while delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and grooming. Help with mobility and physical activities to enhance clients' mobility and independence. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client. Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviours to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Skills Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. Experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial. Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
