Job summary
Colchester Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and accredited primary care counsellor to join our team to provide a counselling service for adults, on a two-year fixed-term contract. This role can be offered on a full or part-time basis for a minimum of 22.5 hours to 37.5 hours per week.
We provide low and high-intensity therapies within the standards of a stepped-care model and require an individual with significant experience in primary care and providing brief counselling sessions for patients with depression.
Main duties of the job
Offering appropriate short-term counselling or referral to more appropriate services.
Communicating outcomes to GPs/referrers.
Working autonomously within professional and service guidelines and exercising responsibility for governance of their counselling practice.
Delivering face-to-face and online remotely.
Colchester Medical Practice will offer a service that operates between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
