Support Worker and Outreach

to work either full time or part time based in Dewsbury. The salary for this permanent job is up to £22,369 p.a. pro rata. Main Duties: Providing personal care, such as bathing and dressing, to service users. Assisting service users with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, grocery shopping, and attending appointments. Supporting service users to develop and maintain their independence and social skills, both at home and in the community. Creating and following care plans to meet the individual needs of service users. Providing emotional and practical support to service users and their families. Advocating for service users and ensuring their rights are upheld. Supporting service users with any physical or emotional needs they may have. Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to their supervisor. Following health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for service users. Working as part of a team to ensure high-quality care and support is provided. Requirements of this job: Level 3 in Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with people who have a learning disability. Experience of working in the community or care home on a one-to-one basis with service users. Knowledge of the issues affecting vulnerable people. Understanding of health and safety manual handling issues. Understanding of the need to keep within professional boundaries. The ability to be flexible to fit in with the shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, and bank/public holidays. Contact: This job is advertised by Sam Kittle.
