Main duties of the job The post holder will deliver an 80% clinical component to their role. 20% will be related to clinical professional development underpinned by the advanced practice framework with an expectation to undertake & complete the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) e-portfolio to become credentialed. Clinical professional development; Supervised Clinical support, appraisal, clinical audit, teaching, self-development and research allocation will be individualised & time allocation will be directed by an agreed job plan & in alignment with departmental Advanced Practice framework & progression pathway agreed with the Consultant ACP & EM Clinical director.
Job responsibilities The post holder will be practising autonomously as an advanced practitioner within the Emergency Department to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
