An exciting, fixed term opportunity has arisen to join the Argyll and Bute HSCP Dietetic Team as a Specialist CAMHS dietitian to shape and develop the Argyll and Bute wide CAMHS eating disorder service. Initial funding to develop the role and assess clinical demand is for 1.0wte Band 7 for a fixed term period of 18 months. You will be an integral member of the Argyll and Bute wide team so base will be negotiable within our locality. Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership spans the beautiful rural west coast of Scotland, managing acute, primary, community health, mental health and social care services across the area. These services are provided to around 88,050 people across 6,909 sq. km. The partnership serves a diverse range of settlements including 6 towns, 46 villages, 156 small settlements and 26 inhabited islands. We share tertiary pathways with our colleagues in Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS bases within our locality are commutable from Glasgow and the Inverclyde area. Our HSCP vision is that people in Argyll & Bute will live longer, healthier, independent lives and strives to deliver to the national outcomes for integration by working to improve health, support social care, tackle health inequality, and improve community wellbeing. Working in partnership with local communities to offer services that are accessible, timely and of high quality, well-coordinated and easily understood, safe, compassionate, person-centred, effective and efficient. Candidates should possess a Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Ideally, candidates should have previous clinical experience in eating disorders. The postholder will be supervised by the Dietetic Team Lead and will also have strong links with the Lead Clinician for the Argyll and Bute CAMHS team. This is a proactive team, and the post offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and experience in this specialist area. The post holder will have excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required.
