An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative individual to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Older Adult Mental Health Community Services. The service is committed to ensuring that all older adults within the mental health service receive an exceptional standard of care. ANPs are well placed to respond to the health and social care needs by meeting the requirements of the population in different ways and contributing to a sustainable and effective system. We are seeking a qualified mental health ANP to work within their professional boundaries to provide physical and mental health care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. The successful candidate will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care for their patients. They will be highly motivated and forward thinking with a positive attitude to working within this evolving service. The ANP will be expected to support service development through research, audit and quality improvement. They will also have a responsibility to teach, supervise, assess and mentor staff within the Multidisciplinary team. This post will predominantly cover the older adult community mental health team based in Central Fife. There may be a requirement for the successful candidate to work across other areas within the service. Hours will be worked over a five day week, Monday to Friday; 9am-5pm. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners who already possess both non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment skills qualifications.
