Closing Date: 28/02/2025 Area: Lancashire Advanced Nurse Practitioner 37.5 hours per week – part-time and job share considered, minimum 2 days (15 hours) per week. £46,000-£53,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated individual to the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioner. We are a large forward-thinking paperless Practice of 17,000 patients, based in excellent modern purpose-built premises. Our strength lies in the diversity of skills and professional interests within our team. We have a multidisciplinary clinical team made up of Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, First Contact Physios, Health Care Assistants, Nurse Associates, Mental Health Practitioner, Health and Wellbeing Coach and Social Prescribers. We are committed to facilitating ongoing continuing professional development, we offer structured education sessions and regular clinical supervision sessions with GP mentor which is built into the rota. Main Duties of the Role
You will work independently, making professional, autonomous decisions. You will be responsible for making necessary referrals, requests for investigations and doing these in an appropriate manner and timescale. The role will involve initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan and evaluation of patient care. You will be responsible for independent prescribing within the scope of your professional practice. You will need to prioritize and triage the needs of patients accordingly, seeking GP input as appropriate where the problem is outside your professional capability. You will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and a high level of independent care including assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills. You will attend to patients with urgent medical problems.
