£46,148 - £52,809 per annum pro rata Job overview Are you looking for an opportunity to work within Paediatric Dietetics? We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay for a part-time position (0.83 wte) 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave from March 2025. The post is based at Royal Lancaster Hospital, but there may be the occasional need to travel to Furness General Hospital. Main duties of the job The post will cover both inpatient and outpatient work, and you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload covering a wide range of clinical areas including nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies, feeding problems, Neonates, and Eating Disorders. We work very closely with the entire paediatric MDT, including consultants, specialist nurses, psychologists, ward and support staff, as well as health visitors, children's community nurses, and speech and language therapists. About us We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services. WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life-threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case, and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay. Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6-month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
