This role is ideally suited for someone who is experienced, caring, friendly and would like to be a part of a team that contributes towards patient care. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.
Our Phlebotomy services operate Monday to Sunday and bank holidays from 07.00am – 20.00pm. Due to the wide operating times, you would be working a combination of shifts each week which would include early and late shifts. Weekends and bank holidays are essential and also an expectation for this role, however they are on a rotational basis and will attract additional enhanced pay.
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential, as you will be required to travel to a variety of community clinic locations. Successful applicants will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Essential Skills and Experience
Providing a venepuncture service to patients and service users at various community health centres and to housebound patients
To be able to book patients in the phlebotomy clinic software “Swiftqueue”
Educated to at least 5 GCSE Level (or equivalent) which must include English or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
Phlebotomy qualification
At least 12 months experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting
Domiciliary experience
Car driver and owner
Healthcare background preferred
