3 months Our client is committed to providing high-quality social work services and is seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join their team. This contract role involves leadership, supervision, mentoring, and contributing to effective and efficient services. Job Description

As an Advanced Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing professional leadership, supervision, and support to staff. Your responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities

Provide professional leadership and supervision/appraisal of staff. Support the Team Manager on day-to-day operational issues. Lead the social work role in the team, promoting evidenced-based practice. Co-work complex cases with less experienced workers to ensure quality and consistency. Leadership and Supervision

Offer professional supervision and guidance to staff, students, and social workers. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring. Contribute to operational developments. Day-to-Day Operations

Oversee and guide Team Managers in workload allocation and resolution of service delivery issues. Chair meetings and deputize for Team Managers at practice-based meetings as required. Effectively use and manage financial resources within available budgets. Champion high standards of professional practice. Encourage and support opportunities for reflection, learning from practice, and evidence-based practice. Lead and participate in training and development activities. Develop areas of expertise to support good practice and knowledge sharing. Complex Case Holding

Co-work complex cases, including complex case assessments. Support others in managing complex casework, including court work. Demonstrate autonomy and decision-making within casework. General

Act in accordance with relevant legislation, statutory guidelines, and policies. Comply with all policies, procedures, and staff instructions. Collaborate flexibly to meet the practice needs of the service. Substantial post-qualifying experience as a registered social worker. In-depth knowledge of social work practice within the service area applied for. Ability to negotiate, challenge, and manage conflict. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Person-centered with the ability to empathize and relate to service users and colleagues. Experience of supervising adult learners in practice. Proven competency as an experienced social worker. Wide knowledge of intervention models and their effectiveness. Awareness of Social Care and Health policy and legislation. Advanced qualifications such as Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or Best Interest Assessor (BIA).
