Our hospital is recruiting for highly motivated and experienced Operating Department Practitioner/ Anaesthetic Nurses (ODP/AN) to join our high-performing theatre team. We are seeking qualified professionals with excellent and efficient anaesthetic skills. They must be able to lead a team of junior staff in liaison with the Band 7 managers. We would love you to join our friendly and dynamic theatre team at Croydon Elective & Emergency Surgical Centres within Croydon University Hospital. Croydon Elective Centre consists of nine operating theatres, specialties include: Orthopaedics Urology Gynaecology General Upper and Lower GI Breast Max-Fax ENT Paediatrics (ENT, Ortho, and General) Interviews: 27th January 2025 Main Duties of the Job

Our Croydon Elective Centre (CEC) has been nationally recognised for our innovative practice and has been described as a ‘blueprint’ for theatre activity in the UK. As a senior ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will be expected to assist our anaesthetists in safe care, not only in a theatre setting but in outlying areas, such as: Interventional Radiology, X Ray, and Endoscopy suites Emergency Surgical Centre You should be competent, proactive, and flexible and have a keen eye for detail to maintain our excellent care standards. Education and Qualifications

Registered ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner Enthusiastic, flexible, willing to take responsibility, able to work within a team Able to use initiative with proven communication skills Related degree Basic experience in supervision of junior staff/others Basic computer skills Knowledge and Understanding

Six month consolidation in Anaesthetic Practitioner/ ODP Able to prioritise and meet deadlines Intravenous and drug calculation Experience

Able to manage difficult situations Skills and Abilities
