Aerospace Quality Engineer

to join a team of all-stars. This candidate will have a background in defense and aerospace industry to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in our manufacturing processes.

The

Aerospace Quality Engineer

will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with product specifications, drawings, industry regulations and standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and processes. Compensation:

Able to obtain Aerospace Quality Engineer Responsibilities: Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Inspection and Testing:

Perform thorough inspections and tests of electromechanical components, parts, and systems to verify conformance to drawings, specifications and quality standards. Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities, including detailed documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions taken. Supplier Quality Management:

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, conducting audits and source-inspections as necessary. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability. Training and Development:

Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in quality control activities, ensuring understanding and adherence to quality standards and procedures. Risk Assessment:

Identify and assess risks related to quality control and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and reliability of aerospace products. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay current with changes in industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and proactively implementing necessary adjustments. Aerospace Quality Engineer Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience within the quality control of electromechanical parts and assemblies, including circuit boards, harnesses, small metal hardware, composite structures. Thorough understanding of aerospace regulations, standards, and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in aerospace manufacturing. Six Sigma certification. Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., statistical process control, failure mode and effects analysis) is a plus. Ability to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time.
