About the Role:

To provide a service in response to customer demands within the Spares Department and to carry out the necessary procedures to ensure that these demands are dealt with effectively and efficiently and to assist with development of the aftermarket (spare parts) business.

Responsibilities:

Support existing and new customers by phone and/or email. This may consist of following up existing quotes or gathering information from customer and providing offers. Prepare quotations in response to customer's requirements. Obtain prices from Suppliers and internal departments when required. Costing certain components by gathering material costs/labour hours required. Raise Order Sheets for spares parts, repairs, and service technician visits. Contact existing/new customers and offer Eriez newly developed products. Proactively contacting customers that recently ordered new equipment. Visit customers with service engineers to promote new products/improvements on an infrequent and local basis. Maintain CRM database with new customer details and recording documents. Handle field-service travel arrangements as requested. Arrange for components to be taken from stock/manufactured internally in preparation for Service engineer to take to site. Work closely with sales representatives and customers by phone and email to solve service, repair, warranty, and parts related problems. Opportunities to attend local service calls with our service technicians & other members of the sales team (Main sales).

Requirements

Essential criteria

Good communication skills. Happy to speak to customers/suppliers/colleagues via telephone. Computer literate and experienced in use of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel etc. Ability to work within a team. Willingness to learn about customer applications and use of Eriez products in these applications.

Desirable criteria

Knowledge of Sage Line 100 and CRM operating systems. Experience of operating within a Sales role. Ability to read engineering drawings (training will be provided). Mechanically minded or high level understanding of electronics. If not then a willingness to learn is essential.
