1. Patient Care:
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
Help maintain patient comfort and dignity during care.
Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or mental conditions to the nursing or medical team.
2. Clinical Support:
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Assist in basic wound care, catheter care, and other clinical tasks as directed by the supervising nurse.
Support patients with prescribed exercises or therapy sessions.
3. Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Ensure patient rooms are clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients.
4. Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Engage patients in recreational activities or light exercises as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering reassurance and guidance.
5. Compliance and Safety:
Follow infection control and hygiene protocols, including handwashing and wearing appropriate PPE.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations.
Report incidents or accidents promptly to the relevant authority.
6. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Provide support during emergency situations, such as assisting with CPR or other first-aid measures.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
