You are a lifelong farm professional and looking for a promising leadership role in a well-established Agri-trade business... A respected name in the North of England is seeking a dedicated Retail and Merchant Manager to lead their Agri store team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key role in managing the efficient operation of our store and merchant products. You will communicate with suppliers, farmers, sales reps, and management to maintain optimal stock levels. You will manage the buying and selling of minerals, milk powder, animal feed, and other agricultural products, while driving the retail team’s success. This role is perfect for someone with a strong farming background, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for leadership. Key Responsibilities:

Run day-to-day store operations, organising stock purchase, movement and selling. Keep track of industry pricing, markup, and distribution costs. Record all stock movement paperwork, manage inventory and back-office administration. Act as team leader to retail sales staff, hitting targets and providing proper customer service. Arrange events and promotions to engage with the local farming community. Build relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement. Ensure the operation is up to date with all store compliance regulations. Drive sales growth, identify new business opportunities. You will have:

Agricultural knowledge (essential!)– you understand the seasonal needs of farmers and contractors. Proven experience in purchasing and stock control. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail. A proactive, customer-focused mindset. Experience in planning and organizing events is beneficial. Remunerations:
