We have an exciting opportunity for a registered Allied Health Professional to join the AHP faculty for a 1-year project post to promote and grow practice education for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). You'll support the promotion and implementation of the AHP educator career framework and the educator workforce strategy.

Main duties of the job As AHP Practice Facilitator, you'll lead a project to place an emphasis back on the role of educator within our AHP workforce. You'll continue from previous work to improve the recognition and value of educators. One of the key outputs of the project is to create a central resource hub which educators can access to identify training and resources to aid their career development. This will align with the AHP educator career framework. This work is essential to optimise practice-based learning opportunities, maintain and promote excellent patient-centred care, and to support all staff to develop their role as an educator. This will reduce the impact of placements on clinical staff and has the potential to improve recruitment and retention of AHPs in Somerset.
