We are looking for an AHP Support Workforce Lead to join NEL ICB in a secondment capacity to lead system strategic planning and implementation of work to deliver against the AHP Workforce Training and Education priorities for 2024/25. Applicants should be available to start as soon as possible to ensure delivery commences within this financial year. Working as part of the NEL AHP team, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvements and improving outcomes for our NEL AHP Support Workforce. You will link to the AHP Faculty, NEL AHP registered and support workforce, Higher Education Institutions, and other system partners to coordinate to sustain engagement and momentum on implementing the AHP support workforce framework and growing our own NEL AHP support workforce. This will include building on existing NEL and regional work, to: Share areas of best practice and progress. Stimulate growth of AHP support worker roles in priority clinical areas. Support ongoing planning and delivery for including METP funding for support workforce apprenticeships. You will be an experienced Allied Health Professional, with evidenced project management skills and a strong interest in supporting, developing, and growing the NEL AHP support workforce. This opportunity is available as a secondment for AHPs currently working within NEL and is funded for 0.2 WTE until 31st March 2026. Main duties of the job

The NEL AHP Support Workforce Lead will focus attention on NEL system collaboration on implementation of the AHP Support Workforce Framework. This is a one-day-a-week secondment role which will be supported by the NEL AHP Faculty, Faculty Chair and NEL Director of AHPs and line managed by the NEL AHP Faculty Programme Lead. Some examples of specific work you may be leading includes: You will play a key part in contributing to NEL AHP system recruitment and retention strategies. Responsible for scoping, designing and managing any AHP Support Workforce NEL system-wide activity, collaboration and partnerships, including convening working groups, forums or educational sessions. Lead the development of NEL AHP Support Workforce Framework implementation project strategy, including research and development to identify, develop and promote best practice. About us
