www.ktponline.org.uk THE PROJECT The University of Essex in partnership with Bowen Craggs offers an exciting opportunity to the successful candidate to apply generative AI capabilities for the design of a bespoke, automated benchmarking tool based on a unique methodology, for online corporate communications measurement. This post is fixed term for 30 months and is based at Bowen Craggs offices in Central London. DUTIES OF THE POST The duties of the post will include: Delivering a customised automated scoring system, with inputs from various sources (including automated web scraping systems) based on explainable AI. Developing a bespoke Generative AI system to address any additional security, IP, or privacy concerns. Retrieval-Augmented Generation generative AI techniques will be utilised, based on Open-Source LLMs. Delivering a unique AI decision system, which will use fused data to generate reports, analytics tools, and create workflows to automate the web content scoring process. Acting as project lead, to progress the project and ensure milestones are met in a timely manner. Embedding technology, training and upskilling company staff. Participating in academic and/or industrial conferences and other events, to disseminate and present research outcomes to the wider community. These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances. KEY REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: BSc and MSc or Higher degree in Computer Science, AI, Electronic Engineering or Physics or similar degree or equivalent industry experience. Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences. Ability to manage expectations in a multi-partner project. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills. Excellent command of written and spoken English. An understanding of the need to balance academic and commercial outputs. Experience/Knowledge: Experience of computer programming in Java and Python. Experience in front and back-end programming activities. Deep knowledge and experience of deep learning, computational intelligence, generative AI. Explainable AI knowledge. Experience in Information Fusion. Experience in Natural Language Processing. Commercial data science experience [Desirable]. Knowledge of, or an interest in, corporate communications [Desirable].
