Role Overview: The AI Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying advanced AI systems that deliver real-world impact. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, model deployment, and system integration, combined with a passion for leveraging AI to solve meaningful problems. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems for production environments. Build and fine-tune models for natural language processing, computer vision, or predictive analytics. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimise models for performance and reliability. Develop automated pipelines for data ingestion, model training, and inference. Implement robust monitoring and optimisation processes to ensure AI systems meet key business objectives. Stay informed on advancements in AI and integrate the latest technologies into solutions. Key Skills & Experience: Strong programming skills in Python (experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks). Expertise in deploying models on cloud platforms (Azure) or containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in machine learning algorithms and advanced AI techniques, including transformer-based architectures. Hands-on experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, Langchain) or custom-built AI systems. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices for deploying and managing AI systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable, reliable AI solutions. A degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred). Desirable Experience: Experience with edge AI or optimising models for low-latency environments. Applied AI in industries such as finance or healthcare. Building systems for automated decision-making or recommendation engines. Knowledge of MLOps practices and frameworks for lifecycle management.
