We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to join our Data & AI Practice at Sopra Steria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the successful technical delivery of Data & AI solutions, ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality objectives. You'll lead data engineering and data science initiatives, working closely with multi-functional teams to design and deliver innovative end-to-end solutions that leverage data in novel ways.

What you'll be doing:

Leading the technical delivery of data and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with time, budget, and quality requirements. Acting as a trusted advisor by providing specialist technical knowledge for both bids and delivery projects. Designing sophisticated solutions using simulation, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence. Leading and developing high-performing engineering teams and providing line management support. Driving innovation to deliver better customer and business outcomes. Developing data and AI platform offerings, technology blueprints, and reusable capabilities. Consulting on data strategy, governance, and ethical AI practices. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in enterprise and solution data architecture, with experience in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Solid understanding of data modelling, integration, transformation, warehousing, analytics, and presentation tools. Experience with data lake, data lake house, data fabric, and warehousing technologies. Proficiency in developing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing obfuscation and synthetic data generation solutions. Familiarity with data and AI standards such as GDPR, Information Security, and ethical AI. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams, coach colleagues, and ensure delivery excellence. Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering impactful solutions. It would be great if you had: Experience with tools like Azure AI Platform, AWS Sagemaker, MS Fabric, Snowflake, and Talend. Familiarity with cloud-native delivery using the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: UK Wide Security Clearance Level: SC Internal Recruiter: Annecia Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
