Air Conditioning Engineers & Chiller/Refrigeration Engineers
Barrier Air Conditioning Limited is a family business trading for over 40 years and employing 25 staff. We have trained most of our engineers as apprentices in-house and we are proud to have very little staff or client turnover. We work mainly with commercial clients on planned preventative maintenance contracts. At the BESA industry awards in October 2024, Barrier Air Conditioning won the Competence and Compliance Award, demonstrating our commitment to professionalism and compliance within the industry. We are looking to fill two positions: an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer and an experienced Chiller/Refrigeration Engineer/Technician. We expect the engineer applying to have at least 3 years’ experience in the relevant position. Most of our sites are located in Kent, London, and the Home Counties. We are looking for engineers of a high standard, and our rates of pay are reflective of that. The Air Conditioning Engineer would be working on Splits, Multi Splits, VRV/VRF, and Ventilation equipment. The Chiller/Refrigeration Engineer would be working on Chillers, Refrigeration Systems, Close Control Systems, as well as some higher-level technical requirements on Splits, Multi Splits, VRV/VRF, and Ventilation equipment. The works would entail Planned Preventative Maintenance, Callouts, and Repairs. Candidates must have an F-Gas Certificate and relevant NVQ/City & Guilds. They must be able to complete Pressure Leak Tests, Compressor Replacements, and other repairs. We have a great team and long-term clients, some of which go back 35 years.
